Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, W.I.  From Sunday February 2 to Wednesday 5, 2020, seventeen Large Conventional steel orchestras will face their category judges in a bid to fill fourteen coveted spots in the semi-finals round of the National Panorama 2020.

Taking the lead are the bands from the North; in order of appearance - Trinidad All Stars, Renegades, Silver Stars, Invaders, Starlift, Phase II Pan Groove and Desperadoes on Sunday February 2 from 7:00 p.m.

On Monday February 3, also from 7:00 p.m., the two entrants from the sister isle Tobago, Redemption Sound Setters and Buccooneers, will face the adjudication panel.

Tuesday February 4, the East-based bands - birdsong, Exodus and Supernovas will perform their Panorama offerings at their respective pan yards.

Then on Wednesday February 5, the bands in the South/Central region will close off this category. They are Tropical Angel Harps, Skiffle, Antillean All Stars, Fonclaire and La Brea Nightingales.

Competition starts at 7:00 p.m. in all Regions.

The “big guns” will know their musical fate on Thursday February 6 when the score sheets will be opened at the Murchison Brown Auditorium, Port of Spain City Hall, Knox Street, Port of Spain, before the bands’ representatives. Draw for playing positions will be held on the following day, Friday February 7, at the NCC (National Carnival Commission) VIP Lounge, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain at 10:00 a.m.

Those delegated with the adjudication task for this stage are Michelle Dowrich, Lambert Phillip, Richard Pierre and Roger Sardinah.

Come Sunday February 9, fourteen Medium and fourteen Large conventional steel orchestras will play off in the semi finals for places in their respective Finals.

Tickets for “The Savannah Party” on February 9 are priced at TT$200.00 (Grand Stand) and TT$300.00 (Pan City) are on sale at the advertised outlets.
