What ‘Okie’ did
A young Oklahoman lad, with roots here in Trinidad, TT, came for a holiday and enjoyed with his family, the beaches and some other things; things that you do while on holiday here in TT.
But he also visited the panyards of Valley Harps (Diego Martin) & of Phase II.
He then went home and made a video called:
Introduction to the Steel Pan - Making Music from Oil Barrels in Trinidad
It took commendable effort, has history, it’s cool and appealing.
It’s for adventurous kids and makes a lovely start for young audiences.
