AGM AGENDA

Not being privy to the agenda for Pan Trinbago's AGM today, which I am certain shall be dominated by panorama, as Pan Trinbago's Official #1 Fan, and the unofficial voice of the rank and file voiceless panman and pan woman dominated by leaders blindly loyal to an authoritarian leadership, there are some issues that I want to introduce to this forum as necessary for discussion in order of priority.

  1. REMITTANCE FOR PANORAMA PLAYERS
  2. LOGISTIC PLANNING FOR TOBAGO PANORAMA FINAL
  3. TRINCITY DRUM FACTORY

REMITTANCE FOR PANORAMA PLAYERS:

Consider the increased transportation cost to take a steelband to Tobago.

The cost of taking a stage side to anywhere in Trinidad is exponentially cheaper than taking it to Tobago. Anywhere in Trinidad a truck is usually booked for one day for one performance. For a Trinidad steelband stage side to perform in Tobago once, it requires the transport to be effectively booked for three (3) days, effectively tripling the cost of transportation immediately.

The recurrent Panorama transport bill already run into millions, where truck operators, although only sacrificing one or maybe two nights rest, to the entire panorama effort, will earn upwards of 100 times what the average pannist may earn (if lucky).

STEELBAND LEADERS AND REPRESENTATIVES MUST NOT ALLOW THIS FINANCIAL BLEEDING TO CONTINUE WHILE PANMEN, WITHOUT WHOM THERE WOULD BE NO PANORAMA SUCK SALT AGAIN., AND TAKE LICKS LIKE BOBOLEES.

THE GOVERNMENT MUST NOT AUTHORIZE ANY INCREASE IN ALLOCATION THAT WILL NOT BENEFIT ALL PLAYING PANMEN DIRECTLY.

REMITTANCE MUST BE DISBURSED FOR 2020 PANORAMA.

LOGISTIC PLANNING FOR TOBAGO PANORAMA FINAL

Logistics can be loosely described as the organized movement of materials, and sometimes people. Logistics implies that a number of separate activities are coordinated.

Considering that there are only three (3) medium bands in Tobago, and assuming that they all qualify for the finals, Pan Trinbago is responsible for the movement of seven (7) steelbands from across Trinidad to Tobago and Back. I will not attempt to quantify the volume and tonnage of freight, or the cost of transport from point of origin to Tobago, and back to the point of origin in the absence of any agreed concessions.

The coordinated movement of seven medium bands all with the maximum compliment of 90. judges, judges assistants, assistants to the judges assistants and all the other job descriptions designed to share the crumbs of the pie, as I strongly suspect that this opportunity of a free ticket, and a few days accommodation will not bypass the regular contingent of panorama workers (who say they love pan more than players, and demand money after panorama while panmen walk away with nothing), considering the number of Pan Trinbago officials and sundry supporters of this president in her rise to office that she flew to Tobago for her Commotion in Black Rock, the curtain raising act on the tail end of a hurricane that caused extensive damage across Tobago.

A DEFINITIVE CONFIRMED PLAN THAT IS ACCEPTABLE TO ALL MEDIUM BANDS ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH A HISTORY OF COMPETING AT THE FINALS MUST BE PRESENTED. THIS PLAN MUST DETAIL CONFIRMED NEGOTIATIONS WITH STAKEHOLDERS.

PAN TRINBAGO MUST CONFIRM THEIR ABILITY TO EFFICIENTLY MOVE BANDS - PLAYERS - OFFICIALS, WITHOUT UNNECESSARY DISRUPTION TO SCHEDULES  OF THOSE VISITING TOBAGO AND TOBAGONIANS.

TRINCITY DRUM FACTORY

Contrary to what I would have erroneously reported on this forum earlier in the year, the drum factory is a total failure, as THE PRESIDENT OF PAN TRINBAGO has placed the squarest of pegs in perfectly round holes.

A DECISION MUST BE TAKEN BY PANMEN TO SHUT DOWN *MOTHBALL" THE DRUM FACTORY UNTIL PAN TRINBAGO CAN ENSURE THAT IT SERVES IT'S PURPOSE AND STOP WASTING TAXPAYERS MONEY. WE WILL CONTINUE TO IMPORT DRUMS FROM AMERICA AND JAMAICA AS WE HAVE BEEN DOING.

  • I have been challenging them on their abuse of the word "MEMBERSHIP" -- but now I see that when they say MEMBERSHIP they really mean LIMITED MEMBERSHIP.

The EXECUTIVE and a handful of delegates MAKING ALL THE DECISIONS!!! And pretending that the 8000 players are the ones setting THEIR AGENDA which has been LONG SET IN STONE!!!

    • Delegates? Way they does come from??

      • 2 delegates per band....

        • I agree totally with RP. But if u check d tenor of Madame Ramsey's words u will realise it's more about stimulating d Tobago economy than making Pan Trinbago viable & efficient. They could get away with it bcause the govt underwriting d cost,& no one is being asked why or made accountable 4 dis potential waste of money

          • Mr. FYFE: yuh well come and RE-OPEN the WHOLE CAN OF WORMS!!!

  • If this is the space to accommodate an AGM for 200 members represented by two (2) delegates each, and if this photo represents a true image of the attendance at today's AGM, I will not disagree with the sentiments I have heard expressed, that the sitting Pan Trinbago executive is a dishonest bunch.

    • Talk yuh talk. All meh say is Hmmm! Dishonest? All meh say is Hmmmm!,,,!!!

  • That turning back the CLOCK last night have meh read really confuse and I cannot believe what I am reading.

I was told that THE DRUM FACTORY was a MASSIVE MONEY MAKER. A conduit to PROSPERITY IN PAN. I even saw a picture of BOOGSIE SHARPE in which he and BEVERLEY were praising the DRUM FACTORY. And then MARCUS ASH came on THIS FORUM and raved about the FINANCIAL SUCCESS of the DRUM FACTORY.

But this morning MR. RP is on here calling the DRUM FACTORY a TOTAL FINANCIAL FAILURE which should be SHUT DOWN.

Cecil Hinkson: As Beverley's GLOBAL DEFENDER and SPOKESPERSON -- please tell us what is really going on with that DRUM FACTORY. Another failed BEVERLEY PROJECT?

Anyway, THE TOBAGO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY is FINANCING THE TOBAGO PANORAMA. So THE COST does not matter and the LOSS does not matter.

And finally, THE PLAYERS could forget about ANY REMITTANCE. The first thing BEVERLEY said when she took office is NO PAY for the PLAYERS in 2020.

I wish DEM PAN PLAYERS would read that AUDIT REPORT and see how much MILLIONS the EXECUTIVE does be HANDLING and POCKETING while they SLAVING in THE PAN YARD for THIS ADDICTIVE PANORAMA.
