I Think Its Very unfair that Arrangers Cant Arrange For More than One Band in any Category They Choose.
Tuners Can Tune For as Many Bands as They Please. Players Can Play for Any Bands they Want. Why Not Arrangers?

London Bro. I Really Cant Agree with What You Are Saying, Maybe in Smooth Case He Did Not Put Much Effort in to His Arrangement With The Tobago Band. Boogsie Sharpe in One Year Had [5] Five of His Bands Win their Zones. In the 'Champs In Concert Show All the Bands that Were Present that Night, Boogsie Had Arranged Their Music. Often times Jit Samaroo used to Have Renegades and Cordettes in the Finals even the Great Clive Bradley IN 1999 Won Panorama With Despers and Ran Third With Nutones. You Cant Use what You are Saying to Deny Arrangers their Rights to Earn a Living With their God Given Gifts.
Very few arrangers will do music for more than one band and have them all sounding good, one band will suffer I have listen to music smoth give to the tobago band and it no way compares to what he gives allstars, I have heard boogsie do the same, When it came to Bradly he gave bands good music and yet some suffered cause time, I always felt he gave desperadoes and and pantonic better music,

It is a shame that a big band like Skiffle Bunch cannot produce some young Trinidad Arrangers from their sponsored band. You have over a hundred players every year and the question is. Why can't you train some of them in music and arrangements? By importing Foreign Born Arrangers just to win a Panorama shows bad management and a lack of shame and a slap in our country's education abilities. There is no excuse for your Band's decision. Stalin, Merchant and Relator knew this from their past songs. Pan in Danger and we are importing our own culture. Imagine some of these Band Managers do not have the common sense to see that pretty soon we will be importing our own culture and it was started by these South Bands. Bands are using FOREIGN Tuners to make their pans and arrange in contrast to the fact that most of the drums comes from the South. Pan Trinbago and some other band officials fail to incorporate our Steel Pan technology by using our best Tuners to teach young and upcoming tuners. All they do is to wait until they are dead to give them a lot of stupid Speech. Check it out, we are running short of all the best TUNERS that was born in the WAR ERA. Right now you have TOP PAN TUNERS Without a WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK PAGE to sell their products. Besides Gill's Pan Shop and two large shops. The TOP NAMED TUNERS DO NOT HAVE A SITE AND THEY ARE NOT EMPLOYED AND PAID TO TEACH THE ART BY ALL THE GOVERNING BODIES IN T&T.

We Cannot Accept Mediocracy as Been Fair to Those who have Earned the Right To Ply there God Given Gift in Favor of those Less Talented. In the US there is Free Enterprise. Good Topic Val and if I was an arranger I would not want to be restricted. However, We did not make it in America mainly because of applying ourselves, SOMEONE GAVE US AN OPPOTUNITY and we had to prove ourselves QUICK, QUICK.
Boogsie, Leon, Robbie, Pelham, Beverly, Bradley, Jit, Edwin, Pro, Duvone were all given opportunities and their abilities kept them in. The problems today, is our lack of patience. (WHEN YOU ARE HIRED, YOU MUST WIN NOW) That's a hidden mantra..
I do not have any problem if Pantrinbago scale back, and Mandate, ONLY ONE ARRANGER period. I will hope that with only one arranger, The hidden, Boogsies, Leons, Jits, Clives could emerge, but only if Bands want to grow with the new arranger.
I agree. This would allow for competition between arrangers which would in turn incentivize them to up their skills and in turn will greater challenge the band's players to aim for higher achievement and skill level, resulting in a win-win situation to the competition. Not allowing the arrangers such latitude will impose mediocracy on a valuable industry.

Its Only when things Affect People that they Disagree with the Problem. The Best Lawyers get the Most Clients. The Best Jockeys gets the Best and Most Horses. Why cant the Best Arrangers get the Bands that wants them to Arrange their Music.
