Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The government of Trinidad & Tobago has been sworn in. Former Minister of Community Development and Culture Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly is now the Minister of Education. The responsibility for the national Steelband art form was within her previous portfolio.
The new Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts is now Randall Mitchell. The Steelband art form now falls under his purview.
A performance by a steelband trio from Exodus Steel Orchestra followed the official swearing-in, with Anthony "Juggy" Rose appearing to be one of the musicians.

As i said many moons ago on THIS FORUM, DOCTOR DOLLY is going to be the FIRST AFRO-TRINIDAD FEMALE to LEAD the PNM -- if not THE COUNTRY.
She and PENNY BECKLES will be fighting it out to LEAD THE PNM in 2025.
She loves THE CULTURE -- no doubt!!! But she had too much of a bureaucratic grounding to be effective in THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE.
I have a little sentimental leaning to DOCTOR DOLLY because both ah we GROW UP in NEWALLOVILLE, SAN JUAN!!!
