I do not know how I missed your posted discussion of September 6th. That was a sneaky one, and I would have been incorrect in challenging you, since no Steel Orchestra has ever played more than one panorama calypso at the National Panorama Finals. Because of your semantics, we were prejudiced in thinking only of the National Panorama (lol).
Now I have one for you. Name the first band to win panorama performing at the #1 position.
There is only one time I know that two tunes were played in panorama, that was in 1967.It was your panorama tune and the
song" Is Paris Burning". And in 1963 the year of the first panorama,Pan-Am North-Stars won with Dan Is The Man (Sparrow).By the way The winners in 1967 were Solo Harmonites, (Is Paris Burning) and Guiness Cavaliers,( 67)

There was a SOUTH Steelband Competition under the auspices of the Southern Carnival Improvement Committee on Mon 18th Feb 1963. The Bands were required to play (2) Tunes, one of which have to be a Calypso, Results were, 1st- Southern Marines, their selections were "The Road" (Kitchener), and "Largo" (Handel), 2nd- Teenage Symphony, 3rd- Sundowners.
Bede take 10 Points and go to the Head of the Class. Very Correct. That was the South Panorama. Panorama at the Queen's Park Savannah in 1963 was called ""The Best Road March Competition" the Results of the First Panorama was announced on Ash Wednesday. Pan Am Won.
