What’s the time-line?
He added that there are many opportunities for Pan Trinbago to enhance its revenue-earning capacity, some of which are not new. Dupres said special focus must be placed on bringing these into implementation in order to graduate the organization from its current state of dependency into one of financial robustness.

This is a Cultural Organization; PT can’t IMPROVE the attendance at local pan performances (Panorama). How are you going to INCREASE the potential for employment and forex (foreign exchange) earnings? Explain how this process will materialize?
He also said a special committee will be necessary to review the constitution of Pan Trinbago to ensure its relevance to the present and future needs of the organization.
Constitutional Reform is needed, more importantly that Act 1986 needs to be amended, what are your thoughts for REFORM?
Should the membership be REGISTERED as a UNION, who will be selected to sit on the committee?

PanTrinbago is a cultural organization which was incorporated by Act of Parliament, 5 of 1986. It formerly operated and was registered as a Union representing the interest of steelpan players. The general membership of the steelband Movement decided that it would better serve their interests in the development and promotion of the steelband, to become incorporated by an Act of Parliament here in Trinidad and Tobago, the birth place of the steelband and the main centre for the propagation of this art form.
Pan Trinbago expects to maintain strong ties and work closely with Musicians’ Unions in countries wherever steelpan players perform, so that any industrial and/or labor disputes involving steel-bandsmen could be properly handled.
How does the PT mandate work with your proposal for potential employment and forex?

Resolving the $30 million debt sounds like pie in the sky, pan musicians like to count egg in fowl bottom.
This sounds like a case for the Industrial Relations Court. Oh! I forgot pan musicians are not unionized, sounds like a big pay day for the lawyers. My guess when yuh have no bargaining RIGHTS yuh shit out of LUCK.
