Because of WHEN STEEL TALKS -- I spent the last week HOOKED UP with THOSE THREE LOCALS experimenting with PAN MUSIC that is geared to winning GLOBAL AUDIENCES.
Instead of FEELING MENTALLY COOPED UP (by the BUGS COVID) -- my mind was HIGH IN FLIGHT (I am a CALYPSO LOVER ... so I had to throw in a little half a line from SPARROW ... ah hope allyuh get it).
Over the years my subtle/caustic/abrasive/pleading/uncompromising message on THIS FORUM has been for EXPATS and LOCALS to work together to MAKE GLOBAL PAN MUSIC. In the last week I felt like I went to the MOUNTAIN TOP pursuing THAT MISSION -- thanks to MERRYTONESTOTHEBONE and AQUIL ARRINDELL and NEVILLE JOHN.
It is going to be a LONG SLOW JOURNEY -- but my FAITH got FORTIFIED during the last 7 DAYS!!!
I don't think that the WHEN STEEL TALKS producers of THIS FORUM could even begin to understand how PANHISTORICALLY GROUNDBREAKING and FUTURISTIC this FORUM was (and continues to be) in taking STEELBAND MUSIC to THE WORLD!!!
Well I am sure that they know, because this was THEIR VISION!!!
I am calling on TWO PEOPLE (Arthur Traverso and Michael Smith) to define their mission in terms of interacting with THE LOCALS and finding PARTNERSHIPS that could TAKE PAN MUSIC FORWARD!!!
