I attended the 67th Pct. Council meeting earlier in the week and they mentioned this upcoming meeting. They plan to lay down the law concerning noise, the sale of alcohol etc. We MUST be very mindful that although we live in heavily Caribbean neighborhoods in some parts of Brooklyn, not EVERYONE, even folks from TnT, appreciate the noise when they are trying to get some sleep to be able to go to work the next morning. This may have started under the Gulliani administration but the restrictions are VERY much appreciated by a sizeable percentage of our neighbors. Noise complaints in the summer are by far the top complaint to Community Boards, the police department, 311 and the local politicians, one of whom I represent.
