I would like to add another item to my ever growing wish list for Pan.
A steelband concert in Prospect Park/Central Park, etc., where several local steelbands combine their numbers to form one large band for the sake of the concert. This is not as difficult to do as one might think, especially since a scored arrangement can be distributed to each band to learn each tune.
My initial thought is that it would be more a form of marketing for Pan, rather than a money making venture (although that could change). Years ago, Desperadoes played in prospect park and it blew me away...other bands played at the pier in Manhattan.
Business card can be given out, which may lead to future engagements for the bands.
Well, just thought I'd share my thoughts.
