Now that the SINGLE PAN COMPETITION is out of the way, OVER 1500 (roughly) PAN PLAYERS are now free and available to offer their services to THE BIG BANDS with plenty of practice time on demand before THE BIG EVENT.
So we could expect to hear added MUSICAL EXCELLENCE coming from the 2018 PANORAMA FINALS.
I always called KEITH DIAZ the GREATEST POLITICIAN IN THE WORLD. But now I have to start ranking him as one of the GREATEST ADMINISTRATORS the WORLD has ever seen.

After listening to the painfull rendition of Newtown Playboys Symphony 'Hammer', not sure what the hell is going on. Can't have an arranger pants falling down and everyone is seeing his butt exposed to the world during a performance. And this is the winner.

merrytones I know your point of view, but it looks like the reality of TODAY is players have to be recycled in order for the large bands to get players.
Claude...Why are you referring to Panorama as a COMPETITION?

That we focus so much on the competition aspect , we forget it is also meant to be the world's primary pan festival ?
It is not "PART" of the problem Glenroy...It "IS" the problem...We call Panorama a COMPETITION when it clearly is not...Well not anymore at least...By now everyone reading this forum knows my take ton the anyhowness that is Panorama so I don't want to spoil anyone's celebration of their favourite bands' exploits over the new few weeks. Just let me remind us that nowhere else in the world would a competitor be allowed to compete on more than one team at the same event, be it Small, Medium, Large, Amateur, Professional...what have you. No other competition I know allows a minimum number of players. It is dotish enough that Pan Trinbago allows an increase in numbers at the Finals...but a minimum number of players? That is the beginning of the bachannal and skullduggery...
But alas there is hope on the horizon...They wisely decided to "pay" the government stipend to bands instead of individual players... But all that is a little-too late...The competition aspect of Panorama get spoiled long long time ago...
