LARGE IS LARGE

Should the limit of 120 players be lifted in the Large band category?. Will it make some bands to have an advantage over others because of their size?. Since we have a lot of foreign players spending all that money will they benefit from this?. Will there be a lot of opposition coming from the Small and Medium bands?.

Will it be good for Panorama?.  http://www.guardian.co.tt/carnival/2014-03-03/phase-ii-wins-seventh-national-title-boogsie-it-was-team-effort

  • Boogsie is correct . Let Large bands decide if to raise the number and by how many. Many times at meetings the medium, small and single pan representatives make up the core of the meeting. For this particular situation, only the registered large bands should decide. Size does not mean that you will perform better than another.

  • I am all for it. Quantity does not guarantee quality, so it does not mean that everyone practicing in a big band will get to play. It is however, heartbreaking to watch especially youngsters take night dew for weeks only to be told the night before finals, that they can't play even though they have their music.

Let the big bands have the say in big band business.
