Marcus Ash inadvertently started a very intriguing LIST in a recent posting when he said: If YOU see Steelpan as an Afro Trini thing, then ... (and he proceeded to make a list of NON-AFRO TRINIS)

.... "people like Junior and Edwin Pouchet (White), Mark Loquan (Chinese), Jit Samaroo, Bobby Mohammed, Steve Achaiba (All Indo Trini)" -- who contributed to PAN PAN PROGRESS in the MECCA and beyond the borders.

But when I read his list I realized that he had left out the FIRST NAME that I would have called and that is CURTIS PIERRE!!!

So with 20,000 members on WHEN STEEL TALKS, how many other names can you think of that could be added to this list?

Well I should mention that 3 of the names I mentioned have left their offsprings to continue their legacy.

•Amrit Samaroo (son of Jit Samaroo) - Arranger for Supernovas, member of the National Steel Symphony Orchestra. 

•Adrianna Achaiba (daughter of Steve Achaiba) - educator, ace performer, adjudicator. 

•Chanel Pouchet (daughter of Edwin Pouchet) - Captain and Bass player of Silver Stars Steel Orchestra.
