My personal view is Pan Trinbago need to address/ work towards improving the criteria of judging the Panorama. They should even consider adding a few musicalogist from abroad to bring an international appeal all local is not way to go that's my view

You know what....it doesn't even matter who wins... every year there will be broken hearts and bickering in the community no matter who adjudicates there can only be one winner ... unless "JAH SELF COME AND SAY"... there will always be "MOUTHGROOVE" but that is what makes panorama "sweet"... what does matter though is that these bands of T&T need to record every year and then every couple of years put out an album mixed with panorama and other music of choice so that people can buy and appreciate their music on amazon or itunes or whatever... and stop allowing the music to disappear throughout the years... Record and we all win!!
Sometimes as a people we are so fickle. On one hand we criticize the bands and arrangers saying the come with the same thing every year, Then when we suggest adding a different dimension to our music, we then say it should remain as it is and we don't need to change it, we don't need foreign influence, we don't need foreign judges who can hear differently and may even give the lesser know arrangers an even playing field or force some arrangers to up their game and still keep the carnival sprit. I see nothing wrong with change within the framework of Carnival as a Whole.
THE PANORAMA IS ALREADY DECIDED AND ITS ALSTARS,EXODUS AND RENEGADES, THEY HATE DESPERADOES WITH A PASSION.ITS SO SAD TO SEE WHAT PANORAMA HAS COME TO, THAT'S WHAT IT IS WE NEED TO CHANGE THAT, THE JUDGES ONLY RATHER AND PREFER CERTAIN BANDS. THAT IS WHY WE NEED REAL MUSICOLOGISTS.AND GET RID OF THOSE FARTS WE HAVE AS JUDGES.
Thank you Bro you understand what taking place, if Panorama is to develop we need the best Musicologist regardless of colour creed or race judging the event. This will enhance the standard and quality of the music to competition.What we are hearing and seeing is just antics a set of runs and chromatic. I heard two musicologist who came here from Germany a few years ago, stated that as far as they are concern Witco Desperadoes had won with Pan Redemption, I can even remembered the piece well. I am convince if changes are made people will be suprise to hear and the results.
A L Nunes, panorama has be defined by Martin and others long time now, so I hope that those who did not know the definition understand it now. Let Narell enter and give his interpretation of OUR Carnival music and not try to get it changed to suit him. All who talking 'bout Narell's good music and best music at the semis.....yes it is good music.....NOT PANORAMA MUSIC! It was out of place. They have (or had) pan in the 21st century for that!

The Criteria is not the same as back then Bro those days,were different. They now are asking /stressing the importance of dynamics more motives to added to arrangement. That's why we are hearing so much loud and soft in arrangement everybody sounding very simular. In the past the arranger was not limited hence the reason we had Woman on the bass, Rebecca, Sailing, Pan in A Minor, etc
