Now we all know that TRINIS love to celebrate DEATH with BOGUS SENTIMENT.
So you have a DEAD CALYPSO STAR creating waves of SENTIMENT
Then you have a CALYPSO that was a SMASH HIT sung by the deceased.
The LYRICS in that song could not better suit the CARNIVAL JAM AND WINE MOTHER OF ALL CARNIVALS.
Added to that, almost every CALYPSO LOVER from that era have the lyrics memorized and will be SINGING ALONG swaying the opinions of the judges.
Finally, DUVONE STEWART decided to go back to the ROOTS OF THE MUSIC and PLAY A CALYPSO IN CALYPSO ... JAM JAM JAM MY DARLING.
