A no confidence vote is already casted on Kieth Diaz and he has no choice but to step down or there will be no panorama period. Them old bad John days are over Claude and Cecil. No more free tickets for the weary. Good bye and good riddance Keith Diaz !

I fully agree with Cecil Hinkson's comments and I have the strong feeling that Claude Gonzales is in the back pocket of Keith Diaz aka Rolly Polly as he knows what is wrong but still supports Keith Diaz. These Panmen are so apathetic, they will rant and rave and do nothing to ensure the removal of this wicked dictator by the name of Keith Diaz who will continue to defile them. We need strong and honest leaders in Pan Trinbago.

I recall many many years ago when the Royal Bank of Trinidad & Tobago Limited was asked to manage the sale of Tickets for Panorama. Tickets were sold at all branches of the bank and members of Staff volunteered to manage the gates at all the Panorama events and our Estate Police provided security. That was the only year from my recollection that Pan Trinbago showed a huge profit from Panorama. I recall many supporters of the various bands came to the gates requesting entry and were told no entry without a ticket. The point I am making here is that Pan Trinbago should be headed by a team of Professional Individuals who can provide efficient and effective financial and audit management to the Organization going forward and get rid of the bunch of dishonest fellas who currently haed the organization.

It is time to have a forensic audit done of Pan Trinbago and based on the results have criminal charges filed against those responsible for its financial mismanagement and send them to jail for a long time.

But alas, I am just a voice crying in the wilderness as bobol will never cease in Pan Trinbago unless Keith Diaz and his cronies are sent packing and jailed.

  Claude Gonzales does not support Keith Diaz. He just has a bad habit of telling it like it is.

Most of us would like to see Diaz go but I'm afraid he is not simply going to walk away without a fight. finding a way to nullify his actions until after the carnival is the best thing players could hope for.

Where it would be right that they cast a vote of no confidence on the executive, replace them with an interim executive until an election can be held, I don't believe that would be done, I am not to familiar with their procedures but, I have been told by people in Trinidad that Keith Diaz's power comes from the Single and Small bands, the vast number of them, the votes he gets from them along with any other votes he will carry from the membership always give Mr. Diaz the majority.
Again when the agenda of some doesn't mesh with the agenda that's better for all you have a failure to successfully move an organization to a better place.

  Keith Marcelle: You hit the target. Keith Diaz will always have the majority of votes in any election. He worked hard to build that voting bloc. PAN TRINBAGO is NOT ABOUT moving the organization to a better place. PAN TRINBAGO is about getting jobs and having political power over PAN and PAN MEN. And most of all having control over hundreds of millions of dollars without any government oversight.
  
  So people could sit on the sidelines and demand or write or pontificate -- it makes NO DIFFERENCE.
  
  The challenge is to find SKILLED ADMINISTRATORS with a LOCAL and GLOBAL VISION for PAN and then to expect them to be honest while in office. Since the leadership is limited to the STEELBAND COMMUNITY it will be impossible to GET LUCKY ENOUGH to find the requisite talent from that POOL.
  
  In other words, despite all the talk you see going on here, NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE.

    I heard somewhere that "if wishes were horses, beggars would ride". "Nothing is going to change" so the beggars can't even reach the stirrup. My finger is down to stubble writing about HONESTY, INTEGRITY, accountability and transparency in any thing related to "pan". OPTIMISM has become painful.

    The sulution lies in what you just wrote, it's the sulution to Pantrinbago, USSA and just about most steel band organizations.
    Administrators should come not from the steel bands, but from outside in particular business community or from individuals with a greater business knowledge but also with no affiliation to a steel band. To many times individuals given the opportunity to be a part of the bigger picture, get lost with the desire of their own needs.
    And also as you stated Mr. Gonzales they must also have the integrity to handle the millions of dollars and international fame that goes with it(this is more in reference to Pantrinbago ).
    Other Steel band organizations over the world have to modify their operations based on the laws and opportunities available to them.

      Nice idea. But the panmen need to get their money and for Trini's living abroad who mainly travel for Panorama this is greatly heart felt.

  Who are the "pan people " that are meeting? Are they managers, captains, people who have a "say" in their organizations? Why are they (Mgrs, Capns) noticeably silent and/or absent? I'd like somebody to answer that, 'cause I find it very strange. You say that KD's power comes from single and small bands, if that is so, why is it so? Do you have the stats to prove?
  I put my word games on the shelf for a while, because I find the steel band thing so exciting and entertaining.
  Keep the thing going, make the bacchanal great again.
