Pan Trinbago holds Annual General Meeting

 

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I.  - Pan Trinbago T.C. will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the San Fernando Room, Crowne Plaza, Wrightson Road, Port of Spain, Trinidad, on Sunday 30^th October 2011, at 10:00 a.m.
 

Registration commences at 8:00 a.m.
 

Items include Reports of the (i) Secretary, (ii) Treasurer, (iii) Auditor, (iv) President and any other business that may arise as per agenda.
 

Pan Trinbago reminds member bands to make every effort to have their two (2) representatives attend this all-important meeting.

It is time that the member bands of Pan Trinbago consider changes to its Constitution to allow for a "one man- one vote" system for the election of officers to the National Executive on Pan Trinbago. The delegate system has long outlived its relevance in 21st Century people's organizations.

I totally agree with you Ian. It is obvious that this system of band voting hasn't been fruitful. Hypothetically, if my opinion doesn't marry with the opinion of the band I am in, as a member and fellow pannist how would my voice and others be heard, when only "selected" persons vote under the disguise that the entire band agrees with the nominated leader(s).
