Pan Trinbago has issued a response to an article published in the Trinidad Guardian of Monday 21 April 2014 under the headline “Pan Trinbago owes pannists $2m for Pan Is Beautiful XII”
It states: “The President of Pan Trinbago, Keith Diaz, communicated with the Minister of The Arts & Multiculturalism, Hon. Dr. Lincoln Douglas, who confirmed that the matter of outstanding payments to member bands that participated in the Pan Is Beautiful XII Steelband Music Festival is currently receiving the attention of the Cabinet of Trinidad & Tobago.”
While Pan Trinbago understands the position of the participants, it wishes to assure members that notwithstanding the delay, every effort is being made to rectify the situation.
The Steelband Body is therefore optimistic that the matter will be resolved.
“We promise to advise on further developments”.

Again, all the MILLIONS in profits made from the GREENS 2014, (the V.P. of Pan Trinbago in an article stated that the 2014 Greens witnessed the largest crowd ever) could just 2.4 million be used to pay off these Prizes. Can someone tell me why is it that Pan Trinbago has to go to the State coffers(the Cabinet of T&T) for 2.4 Million in Prizes?
The way I see this whole thing is like this, greens money GONE, all other money GONE what we are left with is an orgainization with no money, the only option left is to take them to court.
And in other news...free entry to coco lounge on the avenue this friday before 8pm and drinks specials all night. $5.00 for beers before 10PM.
Think I'm better off intoxicated than reading what I just read.
