Our first Governor General was a Chinese man from the coastal/fishing village of Blanchisseuse
I do not believe that Trinidad or Tobago is the place for this narrative.
A Chinese Man was once the president of the steelband association.
He handed over to a Trinidadian of African descent who underperformed and absconded, he went AWOL
Chinese being vilified paid there dues to this twin island state and contributed invaluably to its development, and to the development of it's cultural portfolio. I do not believe that Steelband culture, or politics is the place to fight a proxy war originating at a crossroad of culture and empire, far removed from Iere.
