Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The National Panorama Single Pan Band Competition 2018 kicks off tonight with bands in the North facing the four-man adjudication panel from 7:00 p.m.
First off the starting block is reigning Single Pan champion Newtown Playboys Steel Symphony. For the competition, they have chosen David Rudder’s “Hammer” arranged by Carlon “Panman” Harewood. Newtown Woodbrook Playboys will be judged at their Woodford Street panyard.
Seven bands out of a total of twenty-two North single pan bands will be judged tonight. The remaining bands will go through their paces over a period of two days i.e. Friday January 5 and Saturday January 6.
