New York, USA - There is simply nothing like an irate parent - ask any politician that is stumping for votes.
The Panorama contest of New York is probably the only contest in the state where you are almost certainly guaranteed to be a loser before you enter. Of course that’s nothing new; for years it has been known that the economics just don’t work out.
....However, the parents and participants do and should reasonably expect that professional photos of their respective bands and every player be readily available to them, after such a large-scale music exposition that showcases their children.

The WIADCA Brooklyn Panorama is the classic abusive relationship. The New York steelbands are exhibiting the battered wife syndrome. They keep going back for more abuse.
I was told that the champion band Radoes have no photos or even a good video of their winning performance. All they can hope for is cell phone video. What a shame in the year 2014. I hope WIADCA's sponsors and the governor to step in on behalf of the steeband community. This is really sad.

The steelband movement has attracted a layer of truly disgusting parasites, both in Trinidad and in the US, which will suck all its vitality. Good job WST in identifying them.

The problem with steelbands is they don't talk with one another, they have to organize themselves.
It is only when the USSA take charge of everything steelband in New York we would see change.
