With all due PAN MUSIC RESPECT to ODW and EARL RICHARDS -- last night I was thoroughly bored and I spent a few hours in our CULTURAL REALM. In the process, I re-listened to the PANORAMA VERSION of PAN BY STORM and I re-listened to the original calypso version a few times (and posted it) and then i searched the internet to see if i could find a PAN VERSION of that SONG that made sense to me -- and I had ZERO LUCK. So I ended up putting up this posting.
As a CALYPSO LOVER, I always have to wonder if the ARRANGERS ever sit down and listen to the ORIGINAL VERSION OF THE CALYPSO.
No wonder my GAY GIRLFRIEND got so PISSED OFF last PANORAMA and exposed the WHOLE PANORAMA ARRANGEMENT CHARADE!!!
But thanks for the TWO VERSIONS posted.
Still, this is the most GLOBALLY DISCUSSED PANORAMA ARRANGEMENT in the HISTORY OF PANORAMA ... and with the untimely death of PROFESSOR and the accompanying outflow of emotions ... this PANORAMA VERSION of the song will continue to be a topic of praise and conversation until THAT GENERATION (our generation) meets its maker.
