Question: Do you come, the Panorama Greens feter, come to listen to pan, AND if you do, do you agree that ALL DJ music must be turned off, in the GREENS, when pan is playing, even though you came to party & we are now far away from the stage?

The Greens is a big cash cow. Five million last year 2012 and bigger space (more millions) in 2013 for caterer, music man, fence man, toilet man, tent man,electronic man.....and "other man."

This morning marks 25 years to the day I got the call no son ever wants to receive. My brother calmly stated: "David, yuh know daddy dead." I was living in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the time, and was still an "illegal alien" ("Alien"? WTF.) Anyway, I rocked back, and the tears started to flow. I though back about my dad and my "love-hate" relationship. Many of my "peeps" in this group who knew my dad personally, can verify his stickiness and uncompromising intolerance for dishonesty. Many claim that the "pan presidents" were all corrupt, however, history records that my dad was an honest, transparent, and dedicated leader of the "Steelband Movement" during his 40-plus years of national service. I remember him telling me, during his visit to New York where we met up, "David, I don't think I'm going to make it much longer; this may be the last time you're seeing me alive." Then knowing my negative immigration status, he continued, "If I die, do not come home. You can't do anything for me; stay until you get your green card." And so, I took his advice, and did not return to Trinidad for his funeral service. As the day progresses, I will share more "inside stories" of my dad - the father, the husband, the friend, the leader, the National Hero. George "Sonny" Goddard, may your Eternal Spirit, continue to RISE IN PEACE (RIP).
Pantrinbago over the last three decades has been the Most Corrupted Organization that exists in Trinidad. Most of the past and present Presidents were Corrupt. I say this with facts to back up my statement, One of their Corrupt practices were keeping the tickets that patrons use to enter the gates on Panorama night, so the patrons dont receive their half of the tickets and then having their cronies resell those same tickets, which causes overcrowing which also is a fire hazard that endangers every one. Not to mention the subsidies that they get from the Goverment which they use as their Cash Cow. ''''NO MONEY FOR PAN'''
Conscious or unconsciously the creation of the Greens is an admission by PanTrinbago that modern Panorama by itself is incapable of creating an enjoyable Carnival experience as befits Carnival weekend.
In other words, the modern Panorama, unlike in earlier days, is more of a "sit down and listen" experience, than a "jump up and wine" event.
Panorama now has more in common with a classical music festival than with Carnival, and those who want to enjoy "classical music for pan" will naturally be in conflict with those who wish to "get something and wave".
Glenroy I think it is admission that this current crop of Pan Tribago execs can't get the job done. They lack the skills to put on a show that can attract over 20,000 plus people through its gates and countless more over cable and the internet.
There should be no party area for party goers on that day! Panorama and a party are two different things. Since no one who parties, ever hears or listens pan, why have this facility? It is a distraction, an insult, and a nuisance to those deeply involved in Pan. Whatever monkey see monkey do! Why compare Pan with horse racing?

Cecil: Yuh case against me and Diaz went to court yesterday and yuh eh even post the report from the Express ... we succceded in rejecting two of your illegal candidates. But that was not the point of the exercise. Our agenda was specifically to hold power THROUGH carnival 2013 because we had big plans for the GREENS FETE this year. You and Avesha want everybody to fill out a form SWEARING that they LOVE PAN before they are allowed entry to the SEMIS and the GREENS.
Well, pardnah, this GREENS BUSINESS is BIG BUSINESS and we sure to clear EIGHT MILLION in profits because we letting in DICK, TOM, HARRY, JEAN & DINAH. And they want to drink and jam and wine and PAN cyar make it in THAT FAST LANE. Sorry about this dose of reality for all the ROMANTICISTS but when MONEY TALK -- PAN LOVE have to TAKE A WALK.
