Cecil, when talking or tracing the accomplishments / success are you aware of CLASSICAL JEWELS, developed by Fitzgerald Jemmott, the numerous 'BOMB' pieces (named by the Maestro Neville Jules ) and the competitions that the Orchestra has won since the sixties, also the SIX Steelband Music Festivals won by the Steel Orchestra ?
Daniel. L I'm 66 so I know a thing or two about All Stars.
Trinidad All Stars also played a Mexican Mas in either 1965 or 1966.All Stars has always been a successful steelband There are numerous accolades that can be acclaimed by All Stars since its inception.But the glory and development of the band led by Neville Jules took off when Winston Gordon and some of All Stars best players moved away after carnival 1967 and formed a Band named Boston Symphony.This split, gave our Captain the opportunity to form a new stage side.This stage side consisted of members of a youth group named Jacksonville.In 1968 we acquired Fitzgerald (JERRY) Jemmott from the Police Band. He took us to the Steelband Music festival that year which we won.The question asked is,"What's the reason for their success"? What I have explained are just some of the Reasons.If this Blog continues I would add many more reasons why in my opinion All Stars is so successful.As a matter of fact I would continue adding more reasons as time goes by.

Two words describe the success of this Band..........DEDICATION and DISCIPLINE ! Nuff said.
this is very simple Neville always demanded discipline from us.
Good post Anthony Lalgee, one can tell that that All Stars is a well discipline band, now young people see what's going on and they know what is expected of them.
Cecil. Another Band that used the Bring Large Sailor Mas City Synco and also Fascinators which are now both Defunct. All Stars out lived them all.
I have to give All Stars Credit for their Consistency. They Have Some of the Oldest Mass Players in Carnival. Their mas is Very easy to Play You Can use the same Sailor Suit for Decades. Calysonian All-rounder is One Such Person. They Have a Strong Foreign Base also. They are So Large for Carnival that they hire other Steel and Rhythm Bands to Supply Music for their Masqueraders. They also have a Great record in Panorama and in Music Festivals. Cecil beyond any doubt. They are really the Most Successful Steel band in T&T.
