I Think that Trinbago Being the Mecca and Creator of the Steel Pan , We Should Be the Main Country Producing and Exporting this Beautiful Instrument. Just as We Export Oil. What do You Think and Why Not.

My friends, Pan isn't oil, you know
There is such a thing as supply and demand, and this has to be a consideration when speaking about exports.
There is no worldwide demand for pans , is there?
Such a market demand has not been created, as far as I know.
Glenroy,
There's a demand for PANS being built in Morgantown West Virginia across the globe and school districts in the US. It's my understanding the waiting list is long and can take up to a year for delivery of some instruments.
Positioning yourself in the marketplace to offer better options for the consumer can give you a piece of the market don't you think? I believe the demand is increasing.
Morgantown-based Mannette Steel Drums, produces a wide range of steel drum instruments that can be found in schools and institutions throughout the world. Mannette’s drums are so well regarded for their quality and craftsmanship that famed musicians like Andy Narrell and Robert Greenidge (Jimmy Buffet’s celebrated steel drum musician) have sought them out. “AndyNarrell uses Ellie’s drums almost exclusively,” notes Mannette Steel Drums President and CEO Chanler Bailey. “As a matter of fact, Andy recently flew all the way from Paris to Morgantown so he could record songs for his newest CD, ‘Tatoom,’ on Ellie’s drums.”

From a reliable source, I was told in Morgantown they were at one time considering creating a museum for the steel-drum.

First you have to LEARN HOW TO SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY, taking short cuts is NOT CUTTING IT. Somehow we find BIG MONEY to hire foreign consultants to tell us how to do things right and pay no attention to their recommendations and most times get manipulated in our belief FOREIGN is better.
IF you're NOT prepared to do what it takes to achieve the results you desire, you can most times find someone to sell you your dreams, the RESPONSIBILITY is up to you to make it happen. What have you LEARNT from your past mistakes???
Most successful business use documentation/analysis to study their market, the process, supply and delivery to ensure customer sales and satisfaction. DISCIPLINE, PRODUCTION and TOLERANCE should be your watch words to stay competitive in the business WORLD.
Claude That's a Drop of Water from a Storm. What Export You Talking About. You Mean Coke in Grape Fruit Cans That's the Only Export that Has Made any News. If Pantrinbago Was a useful Pan Body they Could of Gotten the Government into the Pan Making Business Years Ago when We were Producing Our Own Steel and the Great Tuners were available along with the Resources to do So. Its a Daman Shame. Very Soon China Will be Making and Exporting Steel Pans that May even Wind up in Trinidad Panorama.
Look what we exporting!!!!

Trinidad made the biggest mistake by not Copywriting the Steel Pan, I guess we will hear MR Copeland and Michael J Jordan(Pedrito) make some comments bout this,
Bede: How yuh doing? How yuh like dem WARRIORS? Stay away from Tobago, eh. Yuh done looking like ah white man.
They are making and exporting as many PANS as they could from Trinidad right now. What allyuh want?
We like ah drop of rain in an ocean
