I read on WST where Ray Holman who arranged Panorama tunes for Tokyo and Hummingbirds  Pan Grove said Hummingbirds Pan Grove is a more powerful band than Tokyo, So why would  a steelband with 120 players sound powerful on stage and another steelband with 120 players sounds normal. is it that one steelband is beating the Pans and the other one is playing the Pans. or is it the material of the Pans each band uses that makes them sound louder, or the placement of the mics on stage or the sound system used. is one piano or guitar or violin tune louder or more powerful than another one or is the material used to make these instruments make them sound softer or louder. professional singers have weak voices and some have powerful voices. what is your take on this ?
