Dear Bandleader;
There comes a time when we must put aside differences and look to the greater good for our pan community. That time is now; we have suffered and will continue to suffer if we remain as we are, splintered and divided. It is with this in mind why USSA is inviting you to a meeting, in an attempt to resolve differences, unify and strenghten ourselves. Doing so will also, ultimately create the opportunity for all Carnival entities (Pan, Mas & Calypso) in this New York/ New Jersey metropolitan area, to have among other things a better financial standing and permanent homes.
This meeting will take place on Wednesday October 17th, 2012 8pm @ 2301 Snyder Avenue, corner of Bedford Ave.(entrance on Bedford) Crossfire Steel Orchestra's winter home. We asking for each band to attend with only, two representatives; this is due to space accommodation. These two representatives should have the authority to make certain decisions on the spot, we understand that in some cases a committee administrates the band, but our hopes are that some decision can be taken on this night. Please come with an open mind.
So we meet and hopefully leave, together in unity!

Keith it is good to see you guys off to a early start, I hope you all can resolve your differences and get on the same page as soon as possible. Having said that I will suggest that all steelbands meet regularly to deal with issues concerning them.
Can you post the topics, issues etc that will be on the agenda. I lead Trinidad North Steel band out of media, PA (tune,arrange etc) am i invited?
