USSA 2017 Election Update

Attention:  the closing date for nominees for the upcoming USSA elections has been extended to October 19th 2017.  Participants wishing to pay their dues can do so at 9211 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

It was voted upon that the dues for USSA steelband membership will be $100.00.  Each band must be financially registered in order to name their nominees.

USSA is looking to improve the operation of the organization with updated rules and policies which would be vigorously adhered to in order to advance the existence of USSA, in transparency and accountability.  In keeping with our mission, USSA is committed to advance, elevate and expand the goals of USSA.

odw: The problem is a LACK OF ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS across the entire FIRST PAN PEOPLE PAN DEVELOPERS. Very often you talk about MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS -- but if you cannot find QUALIFIED PEOPLE to provide the necessary skills then you are LOST AT SEA.

I will go ONE STEP further to say that the second and third generations of PAN PLAYERS are the ones who have actually FAILED THE PAN. Meanwhile, in AMERICA and ENGLAND the SECOND PEOPLE have an abundance of ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS and they have an entirely NEW WORLD for PAN that TOTALLY EXCLUDES the INVENTORS from the MUDDY POND and is driven by an ABUNDANCE of ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS and MUSICAL GENIUS and EDUCATIONAL over-abundance!!!

What are the goals of USSA? What is the mission? Are the rules and regs updated? Are the policies and procedures updated...yet?

You cannot put the cart before the horse. It will be up to the newly elected Board of Directors to define their mission, make what updates to rules, regulations, policies and procedures with the consent of the membership, of course.
