Anyone remembers Despers "Pan in Honey." Bradley, in my opinion, the best of all Pan arrangements EVER period!
I'll never forget a J'ouvert placard from that year ,
"Pan eh ha' money"
Doesn't it seem like you can take any album from the late Lord Kitchener, close your eyes, pick a tune and come up with a fine calypso that's ready made for pan?
Incredible!
(Notice I didn't use the expression "pan tune"?
I'm beginning to think that description degrades the musical and lyrical value of a good calypso.)
