Wonderful memories of one of TT's (and the Caribbean's) greatest musicians of all time. I used to refer to his music as 'indigenous', meaning it encompassed all Caribbean genres, yet every song or piece sounded original. Maybe even more than his music was the man: humble, sharing and caring. I attended a concert after his passing (Mobs 2?) at which some young artistes performed. Apparently, just before he died he had started working with them (I think Maximus Dan was one). Just think, this man straddled from Andrew Beddoe to the Yankarans to Dan. Powerful brother. Positive vibes. I always have one of his CDs lodged in my vehicle's player and another in my home system. No greater tribute to Andre.
I remembered when Andre Tanker came to Grenada in the 60's .Where I played in a Non-stop dance with him . What an injoyable time that was at that time he played the Vibes . That is a time I will never foget.
Its so refreshing seeing andre like this having worked with him for seventeen years its a bitter sweet combination, but that is what life is.His contribution to our music has not been touched as yet far more explored as yet. Blessings forever

Proud of my zuz Dre and his music...
Andre's music is still unparalleled in T&T music culture. He was such a great composer and musician. Gone too soon but not be forgotten.

As Andre said - ' ah went away, ah leave and ah come back home, ah come back to stay'
the man is a genius but as usual will only be fully recognized when it's too late.
