This performance of Lord Kitchener's "Tourist Elsie" earned Casablanca third place in the tight 1984 panorama race. The arranger Henry "Bendix" Cumberbatch is not one of the well known names in arranging pan, but this arrangement establishes his credibility.Outstanding arrangement and performance.

  • As a member of the once again defunct T/T Police Steel Orch. Bendix  did a few tunes for us. I know he would be sadly missed by all especially Roy and Lawrence. Who I think were responsible for bringing him to arrange for us. May his soul rest in peace.
  • He was credible well before that............won North Zone with Casablanca in 1981 (De Will) and came second in the National finals in 1983 with 'Ash Wednesday Jail'. I can still hear the daily banging of Wallace Austin tuning the pans in my grandparents yard around Jan-Feb every year. R.I.P Uncle Henry........you will be missed.
  • Very musical arrangement
