Junior Pouchet was my first band leader while my father was in the US, I remember speaking long distance to my dad, saying I was joining Third World steelband for carnival, he then asked 'How much they paying you?" to which I replied as they told me 'First year beaters doh get paid" to which my father's response was "Go to Silver Stars and tell Junior I sent you" Junior was a gentleman that was very gifted not just with the music but he felt people around him he was very sensitive to others. Then Edwin's contribution in the shadow of his legendary sibling, the Pouchets have touched our culture and outsiders with class, long live the memories they have created for music lovers worldwide.Thank you maestros..Happy 4th of July 2014..
