The Mighty Dougla (Clatis Ali) caused a stir in the calypso world when he won the 1961 calypso crown with this selection.The Mighty Sparrow wasn't too pleased with the result, and even sang a popular calypso -"Robbery with V"- about it.Dougla's other selection was "Lazy Man"IMHO the Mighty Dougla had two outstanding selections that year, and was deserving of his win.

Not sure if this year 1961 was his first singing in a Calypso Tent but I believe that this was the first time he sang in the Calypso King Competition . Along with his other song " Lazy Man " he was definitely the winner for they were humorous and very enjoyable .
