  • Brenda, I did not know that. I'd love to check you guys and gals out. I was at the Lauderhill Mall just last night. Where exactly is the Warehouse and when do you practice? Maybe I can stop by sometime. I will give you my phone number privately. Looking forward to meeting you.

    Ghost.

  • @ Brenda: Thanks, my sista! Maybe, because I'm a "ghost"? lol. Are you in the South Florida area? Don't look to hard; I may be right in front of you ☺

@ Doc: Was nice chatting with you the other day Doc. Enjoy your retirement; WELL DESERVED!!! And keep writing. As I told you the reprint is still on.

    Ghost.

  • Pantun What happened to the book that your dad wrote and  you were going to reprint? Man ah want ah copy real bad Guidance Dr. Lance

  • Greetings: Voots is a coach now in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Guidance. The coach of the team that Voots played on was Chinks St. John. He has passed on to Zion.  In any case I am not in any training. I shoot occasionally too. Guidance Dr. Lance

  • @ Dr. Lance: Cool! My friend Colin and his cousin Kirk used to play football for Benedicts. Colin's dad was the coach. Sisson's Braves used to come "down south" an' geh beat up from Piont (with "Voot", "Engine", an' de "Rookie") and Marabella United (with Celestain Marryshaw). Pion was NO joke; they were probably the best local team I ever saw. But Harambee...MAN! Everybody on that team used to dunk, and the were the prettiest team to watch. Anyway, great to hear from you, Doc. Keep well. (BTW - It's PAN'TUM. With an em on the end. ☺)

@Cecil: Why am I not surprised? Then, sit down before you fall down, ole fella. lol. Have a great week colleague. And stay away from mischief. ☺

    GHOST.

  • Greetings Pantun I used to play ball, too.  Played for benedict's and some other teams in Point. Good to know another side of you.  Guidance Dr. Lance

  • George, George, George I could but I would not.

  • @spiceman: Thanks, my brother. We should do one displaying our martial arts skills. Maybe I'll also do one on the gun range as well, showing that this Black man ready to defend himself, if needed. No sex tapes, though...been there, done that. lol.

@Cecil: Why not take your mischievous, bigoted, and racist statement further. Why not say that white men can't dance, have no rhythm, or have smaller penises than black men? Then post a photo of your penis to prove your race-based point. BTW - I am not honoring your response; I'm exposing it for those who may ignorantly find it amusing.

@The Rest of You: To me, this is one of the most immature and insensitive comments, and speaks volumes as to Cecil's intent - to incite mischief. As Spiceman can verify, the video shot was not planned, and I do not discriminate who I play the game with, Black or White. These were young men who graciously let me join them in a friendly game of 21. I challenge ANY of you, Black or White, to do what I do at 52 years of age. Better yet, I challenge ANY of you, young or not-so-young, to a game of one-on-one basketball. I am sorry I have no clips other than the one I posted, but ANY knucklehead who knows the game, will look at my balance, footwork, ability to lay up on both sides of the basket, do reverse layups, short range jumpers, and baby hooks, and come to their own conclusions, as to if my opponents were handicapped because of race. Can 52 year old Black men jump any better than White boys in their early twenties? Do White men have rhythm, a skill they need to play pan? Depends on which bigot you ask. I'm sure Andy Narell is not genetically predisposed to having no rhythm, because of race, any more than Chris "Birdman" Anderson's "whiteness" predisposes him to not being able to jump. The most exciting dunkers in the game today, is "half-white"; by Cecil's racist assumption (which again is NOT funny) Blake Griffin should be only able to jump half as high, with his "white side" keeping him grounded, and his "black side" helping him defy gravity. I say, it is time to lift our intellect, and end our preference for bigotry. As for the three young White men; it was a pleasure to play with you. Basketball has opened new friendships for me, and when I am on the court, like when I am playing in a band, I SEE NO COLOR! Other than the colors of the uniforms my teammates and opponents are wearing. I sincerely hope that we discourage bigoted comments such as the one posted by my comedic colleague, Cecil Hinkson. And, I hope he matures beyond the level of silliness in which he amuses himself. So, being one to never turn down a challenge, I will find a way to get some footage playing with "Black men who can jump". In the meantime, look at the video, listen to the music, and (hopefully) enjoy. Again, I'll willingly take on ANY member of WST to a "friendly" game of basketball. Especially those who talk, talk, talk, but say NOTHING! People like Cecil Hinkson, who remains hidden behind the WST icon, and CANNOT produce ANY footage of ANYTHING worthwhile that he has ever done, or is doing now. Only cowards hide, and only those who have NOTHING to contribute, try to pull down the contributions of others. Especially in Trinidad and Tobago, and we have the audacity to be talking about Jamaicans. Thankfully, my success DOES NOT depend on ANYONE in Trinidad and Tobago, or on the WST forum. I am building quite an awesome network of professional contacts, not in the steelband industry, but in law enforcement, the legal profession, and international, renowned international artists, ALL of whom endorse me as intellect, scholar, leader, and exceptional musician. Just this week, an influential music educator, compared me to Leon "Foster" Thomas, saying that he "now knows two great steel drum players...". (You think I need Trinidad and Tobago or WST? Think again.) I'm running my race, and haters' words are no more than "WHITE NOISE". Pun intended. GHOST.

  • George,

Everybody know that "White Men Can't Jump" so do over the clip with some young Black brothers and lets see how good the Ghost can Hoop.

  • You need to come to LA and retire Kobe, I love the mix of music and sport, keep up the positive lifestyle you have made this Trini very proud. More power to you Ras 'D'
