Panman's voice in the White House!!

Congratulation to the Steel Pan Fraternity.Their voice was heard at the White House on June 23, 2010 when the Executive Board of The National Alliance of Steel band was invited to Attend a Caribbean American leaders Policy Briefing. The briefing was attended by N.A.s, Pres. Anthony (Ike) Hinds, Sec. Laurie Taylor, Asst. Sec. Shanty Taylor, Trea. Lisa Meyers, PRO Joseph (Franklyn) Gerald, and members of their family.The briefing was held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building -South Court Auditorium. The Pan mans contribution to the Caribbean Culture as well as the tutoring, nurturing and over seeing of the young people, especially in the summer months when they are out of school, was spoken off by N.A.S PRO Mr. Gerald.Special Thanks to Ms. Hasra Ali, one of N.A.S. Advisors for securing the invitation and making it a reality, And Pres. Hinds for his organizational skills in planning the trip which went smoothly.Cheers to N.A.S. and the entire board.
