Critics, detractors, haters, WSTEELERS and Byron Serrette could sing til their throats get dry -- but KIETH DIAZ will continue to rule the WORLD OF PAN. For years I have been saying that he was as good a politician as Obama, but with the imminent ERASURE of Obama's legacy and exposure of his devoted supporters to sixties-style racism under this new AG -- I have to praise KIETH DIAZ as a better politician than Obama.
However, there is one strategy (one group strategy) that could derail the greatest politician in the history of Trinidad and Tobago and that is a boycott of the 2017 PANORAMA by the 10,000 PAN MEN who are still owed for their 2016 performances.
Now, Trinidad Pan Men and African-Americans have a common problem!!! They both have political power but lack the political maturity to recognize that they have political power -- as a result their leaders continue to exploit that political power for personal gain leaving them behind again and again.
So this is my call for PAN MEN to demonstrate some political cojones and put down their PAN STICKS for this upcoming PANORAMA or forever leave KEITH DIAZ to run his corrupt administration with the blessings of the Government.

My take on boycotting Panorama 2017 is this. Yes there is a boycotting of not Panorama but of boycotting Pan Trinbago. The government of T&T should be approached by the steelbands through a referendum. The Referendum should state that Pan Trinbago because of the present crisis should not run Panorama 2017. That the NCC should directly run it. I think this is the plan of the government anyway. This was already hinted. Monies from government goes to the NCC already and then NCC pays Pan Trinbago to run Panorama. but only "Panorama" not the Greens. The Greens is a purely Pan Trinbago event but not with government funds (really tax payers fund paid to NCC. In this way it is already partially there. Government will be simply assured by the steelbands that they wish to have Panorama 2017 put on by the NCC and not Pan Trinbago. Also that all payments of stipends to both steelband members or workers must be paid at least one month after the Panorama event. Funds owed for 2016 must be paid before Panorama 2017. Panorama is not the culprit. Pan Trinbago is. There is a difference of the emphasis of the concept of boycotting. Normally one would boycott something that is hurting one. Is it not? Panorama itself does not hurt anyone. Pan Trinbago hurts almost everyone except the ones who run it. There lies the difference in approach.

George’s interpretation of his functions both as a representative advising government and also seeking the interest of the pannists should have continued today but somewhere along the line these functions have gotten obscured which is such a shame. A stronger case and representation is required in 2012 for the panmen in my opinion…. attention Pan Trinbago.

Claude: If an employee has not been paid his employer in almost one year, that employee will look for another job that pays. However for Panorama Pan men are employed by the steelbands and not Pantrinbago, after Carnival the players are paid by their respected steelbands from what ever prizes monies collected from Panorama and the little cacada from playing on the road and so on. An agreement was made with Pantrinbago to pay the players a remittance fee for playing in Panorama where the Steelbands would submit the players names and they will get their remittance directly from Pantrinbago and not the Steelbands. I believe this action led to players having no loyalty to any particular Steelband by playing for several different Steelbands that needed players and the players see the opportunity to EAT AH FOOD. I do not see Steelbands boycotting 2017 Panorama but I could see some players not playing because of non payment of remittance fees from Pantrinbago and not the Steelbands themselves. BLESSINGS.
