Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - It’s Pan’s Super Concert!
“Pan Sweet Pan… The Solidarity Concert” is fourteen of Trinidad & Tobago’s topnotch steel orchestras rallying to Pan Trinbago’s call to showcase the national instrument on one stage while Carifesta XIV is ongoing in the country.
The scintillating pan experience takes place on Saturday August 24 at Starlift House of Music, Christopher Samuel Drive, Mucurapo, Port of Spain, at 6:00 p.m. Gates open one hour earlier. Contribution is TT$100.00 on entry.
“Pan Sweet Pan … The Solidarity Concert “is in response to the clarion call by the public “to see more pan during Carifesta”. (However, this initiative is not connected to Carifesta’s official activities. Read more here).
Participating bands have contributed their performances free of charge while pledging their mutual support.
Among the steel orchestras rallying to the cause are seven National Panorama winners i.e. Desperadoes, Exodus,Trinidad All Stars, Starlift, Silver Stars, Katzenjammers, and Golden Hands.
Other featured bands are Supernovas, St. James Tripolians, Invaders, Couva Joylanders, Brimblers and Sappophonics.
In addition to sweet pan music in all its genres, there will be a fully stocked bar and food including a Tobago kitchen.
Pan Trinbago is inviting one and all to share, connect and invest as it celebrates the country’s national instrument, the steel pan.
