  • I would have to say the 80's, from "Woman On De Bass' to "Somebody". In between it included classics like 1.ALL STARS:  Unknown Band, Curry Tabanca, Heat, The Hammer, Soucoyant. 2. RENEGADES; Pan Explosion, Mo Pan, Sweet Pan, Pan Night & Day, Pan In A Minor .3. PHASE II: I Music, Pan Rising,, Dis Feeling Nice, Woman Is Boss, Fire Down Below. Saving the best for last. BRADLEY: No Pan, Party, Rebecca, The Jammer, Pan In Danger, Sugar For Pan, Sing In She Party, Panama, Sailin', Somebody.....and there were others, Solo Harmonites 'Distant Drums' standing out. The best Steelband Panorama I've ever witnessed (to date) was in the year 1982.

    • I would agree with Curtis and say the 80's, its a era that I missed, those were the Golden years that I missed from 1976 to 1992 (16 yrs)

  • Val the decade of the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's all had their golden moments.

For trivial reasons, this millennium is more progressive i.e., three of the five widest winning margins and 5 of the 14 back to back victories (lol)

    • Without a doubt Val the 60s.

      • Forgive me Val I did not read your question correctly, I missed the "of Panorama"

  • The golden years of Panorama started with the advent of the Legendary Pan Am Norhtstars. Since their tenure was no more than six, or seven years, The Despers took over the top spot. ( i love the flight of the Bumble bee) They represented the best that TNT had to offer during that era, and then came Trinidad All Stars..I don't know if i am putting it in the right order, ( i am open to correction) perhaps you can say that I'm partial to these Orchestras that i mentioned, however, i'm sure there are those who can put more straightness in the record that was set.
