Have any of the Foreign and Expat Pan Players ever receive any players stipend for playing in Panorama since the Players remittance was instated, After all i am sure their names were submitted to Pantrinbago for Payment and the majority of them leave soon after Carnival before any Prize Monies is distributed. So what happens to that money, Is it keep by Pantrinbago or the bands for when the players return the next year or no payment is ever made to these players because they just come for Panorama to play for free with no intension of receiving any stipends?.

Panrebel it would be absurd to ban foreigners be it players, arrangers or tuners. Many locals in these mentioned fields do well for themselves in foreign countries, many times even better than at home, so their has to be reciprocation.
Mr. Clarke: Yuh better explain what the meaning of the word RECIPROCATION is to the PARTY FAITHFUL on THIS FORUM. That is ah hard word for them to understand even when they are doing many times better in foreign countries than at home!!!
What a great question Mercer Ramdoo
For those looking to ban foreign players, should we ban foreign arrangers too? How about foreign tuners?
Matter of fact.....please define "foreign"
Thanks
I can't speak for all bands with foreign players, but I do know of some who paid their foreign players from their own funds and even transferred via Western Union to others.
Are Caribbean players considered foreign?
do the foreign players have to apply for a work permit to get paid??

PHASE 11 LET DAVID PLAY!!! WHO WILL STAND UP FOR DAVID 12YRS OLD! David has been playing with Phase 11 since he was 9 yrs old. He played when they won Panorama 2013 with MORE LOVE. This Panorama Season David practiced for the entire sea.son, not missing a session, he missed 4 days of school when sessions went on until 2-3 in the mornings. He played in the prelims and semis, . LAST NIGHT HE WAS GIVEN THE NOD FOR FINALS, GIVEN THE UNIFORM JERSEY, TOLD WHAT TO BUY, WHITE PANTS AND SHOES. THIS MID-MORNING, TODAY, FINALS DAY, after his grandfather bought everything they informed David he was replaced. Where is the justice????? The person replacing David is a "friend" of someone??? This person practiced 3 nights????? This person was abroad all the time and hardly knows the tune????? David is registered to play. David has own pan, plays well...all his hard work, night rest gone down the drain. David's playing not in question here!!!! A visit the pan-yard and you can fibd him showing adults some parts of the tune...Now his dreams shattered. Tomorrow David will be 13 yrs old. We wonder why pan not going anywhere? This is the reason!!!130 odd members in Phase 11, ..Plenty HAPPINESS!!!but one sad little boy....the future of pan!!!!!

This was unfortunate for young David, Phase ll wanted to win this Panorama badly so they just choose the best players.

Some bands started offering packages to foreigners: room and board, transport to and from panyard and opportunity to play in panorama. for a price.
Cecil, why do bands need fgn based players, to even offer incentives? Are we short on pan players in T&T? Or do they bring a better attitude? Just asking.
