Dalton Narine is a Vietnam vet whose story is featured on “The Vietnam War” film website. “The Vietnam War,” a film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick premieres on PBS on Sunday September 17 at 8/7c

Dalton joined Trinidad All Stars when the band played in the Garret, the attic of the building housing Maple Leaf Club on Charlotte Street. He was also a double tenor player with Highlanders Steel Orchestra back in 1971. While serving as a Carnival and Panorama commentator and interviewer on Trinidad & Tobago Television for more than 20 years, he continued to play the Bomb every J’Ouvert until he switched to filmmaking.

Ken Burns’s American War...


The filmmaker wants his new documentary, “The Vietnam War,” to bring the country together. Can anyone do that in the age of Trump?   http://wapo.st/kenburns
