As we know, when it comes to the adequate matching of job position with qualifications, Trinidad & Tobago seems to have an issue dealing with that. The recent "Resmi" issue, for example, proves, that many we exult into positions of "status", get by, more through who they know, than what they know, and we seem to be a society of clans, e.g. the "Trini Posse, where you are either liked or ostracized.

Recently, my "credentials" have come under criticism and scrutiny, based on the controversial topics and position I take, and, in keeping with our way of dealing with opposition, the lynch mobs and witch-hunting cliques soon formed. Many claim to be "universal", but that seems to come with a provision - as long as you are a part of what they decide is the "Universe". This gang activity is solely focused on me, and my recent discussion on race and its significance to the history of pan, certainly increased the personal attacks.

It is apparent, that some members of this forum, feel they are entitled to some sort of superiority and authority, and if they are not the "experts", then they decide who is credible and who isn't. Their comments have not been unbiased, and some have chosen the disrespectful route. I cannot respect ANYONE who disrespects me, either directly, or through childish sarcasm, and if I have anything to say, I say it directly and clearly, addressing who I intend to address. No childish games, and no condescending remarks. And, when I misspeak, I correct myself, and apologize, when necessary.

I separate opinion with what I consider as "fact", and anytime, I state something as fact, I always provide  the sources. I could never understand why some would have a problem with that approach. One fact is: I know what I know. I also know that I have brought pertinent topics to this forum, and valuable "inside" information. Some still question my credentials, and I think that is a valid concern. As such, I think that we ALL (those who contribute to the debates) should make our qualifications to speak as "credible authoritarians", open and available in this forum, where ANY member can see, if they so choose. You don't have to give out any personal, sensitive information, maybe, just a bullet point type document, of your qualifications and experience. In any event, I start this "vetting process", by making (some of) my qualifications and experience transparent. The link to my page below, will also provide some information about me.
