I agree with Soca Professor.
It may be a relatively small issue , but it is important to insure historical accuracy in our reporting of these events, which may be seen as factual in the future.
I am not aware of the term "panorama " being used in reference to any steelband competition anywhere prior to 1963 when the " National Association of Trinidad and Tobago Steelbandmen" held their first competition using that name in San Fernando ( the Southern region Panorama competition ) in 1963.
Obviously , there were also other steelband competitions held in T&T and elsewhere prior to 1963 , but the name "panorama" was never used ,as far as I know ( and I've been around almost as long as there have been steelbands !)
BYW , I should also highlight that NATTS was an association of "steelbandmen" ( players) not an organization of steelbands like its successor Pan Trinbago.
As far as I am aware Antigua did not started to refer to their steelband competition as Panorama until around 1967.
It should be noted that Panorama as a competition was a brand and concept created and developed in Trinidad & Tobago from 1963 where only arrangements of current calypso were allowed into the competition and there was also a process of elimination rounds from the Zonal Preliminaries thru to the National Finals where all the biggest guns meet to decide who were the National Champions.
T&T's Panorama competitions also included at least 8 to 10 top steelbands in the Final from the very first official edition in 1963.
