I was under the impression that some reward/prize structure was in place for the design of the floats of which creativity, money, effort and time would have been spent. They are certainly deserving of it. This could only encourage better results in the future. I think the nation is now looking forward to this being an annual event.
Actually the floats were so well done for the SteelFestt parade that the committee decided that there should be a prize for the best float, I think this one by Polyphonics is a winner for sure

No Brenda, it is an annual show/parade funded by the SteelFesTT committee to highlight the local artists' work on the Steelbands.
