On her way back to Trinidad from Maryland, my mom stopped in Miami for a brief visit. My cousin, local jazz great, Patti Rogers joined me and my friends at one of my gigs, and, this was the fist time I danced with my mom in over thirty-something years!!! Mrs. George Goddard/Bunny/Lala, we will ALWAYS love you!!! (Oh, I'll LOVE, to dance with my father again...) My cousin Denise Rogers-Penny, was also there with her husband, Wayne, and this was one incredible evening! Good things DO happen to good people, and "God" has blessed me with family and friends that love and adore me to DEATH!!! The feelings are mutual; NOTHING LIKE FAMILY, AND NO LOVE LIKE A MOTHER'S LOVE. This is the woman who sacrificed while my dad tended to pan issues, and the one slighted and disrespected by Pan Trinbago, as my dad's widow. One STRONG Black Woman!!!
