Mr. Nelson IS a foreigner. That was a choice HE made. Nobody forced him. He chose to be and accepted american citizenship. American citizenship is something one has to study for and sit an exam for, as far as I understand. When he accepted american citizenship he automatically relinquished his Trinidad and Tobago citizenship, unless he possesses dual citizenship, which I seriously doubt. He is either one or the other, he cannot have it both ways. He cannot still have his 'cake' long after he has eaten it.
Great message enveloped in wonderful Clive Bradley musical arrangement. No postage needed.
REMEMBER: The mountain is ALWAYS "clearer" to the distant observer, than the climber. Sometimes, the "whole picture" is best viewed from a distance, and when up close, our vantage point gives us limited view (of the mountain) GHOST, on being a "foreigner".
Consider: I am probably more informed, than the "average Trini", living in Trinidad. Because, I choose to keep abreast of the events in the country of my birth. And not just pan-related stuff. While they are liming and feting, I am studying, reading, and researching. (Haterz comments welcome.)

I must admit, back in the day I too thought Nelson was a"Foreigner" :)
