in 1979, the year of No Pan, the only band to cross the Stage at the Queen's Park Savannah on Carnival day was WITCO Desperadoes Steel Orchestra.They played Lord Kitchener's "Symphony in G" , and many who heard it swore that Despers would have won panorama that year.From Desperadoes 1994 CD album, "The Jammer" here is Kitch's "Symphony in G",arranged by Clive Bradley.

    I recently heard Anne Fridal sing Lord Kitchener's "Symphony in G", accompanied by that superb exponent of pan, in the UK, Anise Hadeed, at the Gala event, the musical part of which I was extremely fortunate to arrange, for the centenary celebrations of The Father of our Nation, Dr. Eric Williams. This took place at London's Carnival Village on 26th September 2011. Since my son, Justin Benn, made the definitive filmed version of this event, I sincerely hope that his recording of Anne, singing to Anise's accompaniment, eventually finds its way on to YouTube for all to hear it, globally. It was a truly masterly performance by a dramatic operatic soprano and one of T&T's best-ever pan players, which should definitely NOT be missed!!!  Jacqueline Sealey, London, UK.

    Brilliant piece of arrangement once again by Clive. Listening to this you can hear the begining of his awesome musical mind forming.

    What I would like to hear from that same year is the tune that Junior Pouchet did for Invaders. If anyone has it or knows of its existence, please present for our enjoyment.
