  That person in the center playing the double pan is definitely 'Mr. Dalton Narine'. I grew up with Clyde George even before he became 'Lightning George'. He is not even in that picture. I am a hundred percent Sure

  The last true word re the Highlanders photo: The year the photo was taken was 1971. Not 1964. Good thing Bertie Marshall knows the truth.
  Also, refer to the TV6 film I made about Bertie Marshall. The only reason we used the photo in the film was the paucity of shots we collected from Franklyn Ollivierri (aka Olliviera) and others with close ties to the band. The film ran for an hour and that meant hundreds of shots to cover the script and interviews, because there wasn't any footage to be found anywhere. So, many shots were repeated, but we did manage to tell Bertie's story, despite TV6's bastardization of the film. It was like a steel band clash with the Department of Bad Behavior. Fortunately, we made copies of the original and passed them out to key interviewees, who were shocked at the quality vis-a-vis the watered-down version the station aired.
  
  Keith Smith knows the story well. It was he who engineered the production.
  
  Don't panic, Highlanders fans, the original film will get your attention. We plan to screen it on youtube by donating it to WhenSteelTalks.

  The person next to Lightning George is Franklin from Carenge. He also is a double tenor man.

  The person in the photo playing the double tenor is me, Dalton Narine. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but the Bomb we were playing on stage at the Queen's Park Savannah was Mozart's Divertimento in G. The Guardian photographer, a colleague then, captured the moment and gave me the snapshot the next day. I received a lot of grief from some members of my band,Trinidad All Stars, because performing with Highlanders was like cutting family ties. Once an All Stars always an All Stars. That was the code of honour implemented by the top bands. What nobody knew was I had lived a block from Bertie Marshall's home and even played Black Feet Tribe with the band when I was a kid. And Bertie carried the best double tenors in the land. The only way I could be gifted one from him was to play the instrument in HIS band. That's how I got to take back to New York the pan that I was playing. Get your facts straight before sending it out on the Web. Pan is serious business.

  The double tenor man in the photo is my husband, Clyde Lightning George. I'm 100% sure of that!
  I sent the photo to a friend in Trinidad who thought it was a current photo of him. He has aged well ,almost as well as his music has evolved. Check out his page on When Steel Talks. You can view his playing at www.youtube.mrslightning. He is the Pan King of Straight Ahead Jazz.
