Just want to say a big thank you and congratulations to Leroy Clark and members of real steel on making history completing the hatrick on the 50th anniversary of the UK panorama 2014. Not to forget making history by winning with a tune composed by a British born Pannist who has won the BAS Steelpan soloist of Great Britain on 3 separate occasions and decided a collaboration with Trinidadian veteran calypsion the original Defosto and compose two land marks in the history of the Steelpan. Before I continue I must state that these achievements in combination will NEVER BE REPEATED In our life time and it will be the 100s Anniversary when. It can be done.
1. 2013 Trinidad celebrated 50 years of panorama the composition We come out to play WON the small band panorama with BJ marshal arrangement with Arima golden symphony
2. We come out to play was also the most played tune in Trinidad panorama 2013 I have records of 10 bands performing it there may be more that I have misted.
3. 2014 London. Celebrates 50 years of panorama and the winning band performs my second composition Pan in the atmosphere and wins UK panorama.
Just a little bit of the history of pan I would like to draw your attention to.
Pan love and I am pan this goes to all Pannist world wide. Best wishes for panorama and in the future
Warmest regards might jamma

In my opinion.....too many chords,,,,,,,,its easy to SING,,,,,,,,,,but with STICKS and STEEL.......it is ANOTHER STORY as many of ALLYUH know...............Ent?
@PATRICK T. BELLE, I experienced the same problem, but it's not WST....the problem was with FireFox...try using google Chrome and the tunes will play smoothly.
@ Patrick Belle - DUMB is indeed the appropriate word. However, WST has not place any "interruptions" on the songs. It may be time for you to check your system. As for who the word "dumb" should be linked to - we will leave that to the thousands of daily WST's visitors who have not experience any "interruptions".
Why all the interruptions to the tunes?? Is it because you don't want anyone to copy them???? Just don't put them out there. My opinion isTHAT'S DUMB!!! You all can do better than that.
We come back to the same question year after year... what exactly is a "pan tune" Is it because the word "pan" comes up somewhere in the lyrics, it becomes a tune for pan, or is it because the melody is written in such a way that it makes the arranger use his skill on how to incorporate that specific tune on an ensemble of instruments. Does Boogsie, on the other hand, compose a " tune for the pan" rather than a "pan tune".
Thomas, I can't see that happening anytime soon because of the guild lines for a Panorama tune, which requires it be a calypso. However, what I'd like to see is more foreigners writing tunes for Panorama...otherwise you will get the same style and feel every year, especially as composers like to use the same vocalists, which sing in the same keys, etc.
The tunes are not playing clear.
