  • Yes the Rock Gardens were a focal point of life and activities in the city. Before tv came along.
  • Nostalgic. my last mas before leaving T&T was with City Symphony (1967). The mas was Birds and Insects. We brought a butterfly section from Curepe. My pal from arouca (chuch head) played pan with them that year.

  • Steve, Was "Train Smoke" from City Symphony (bass player) there, that year also?

  • Bede, You are right. That is Herman Johnson next to Kelvin Hart. He was representing Pan Am North Stars

  • you guys are just national treasures  !!!   our culture stands on your shoulders  thank you for your contribution

  • WOW, look at the support in the background. Pan can do with this level of support outside of Panorama.

  • Steve, Isn't that Herman "Rock" Johnson on Kelvin Hart (deceased) right?

  • This picture is the Trinidad and Tobago National Steelband.

I am in the front row, second from right. I can also see Hugh Board 5th from the right and I believe that the person next to him is Kelvin Hart. Closest to the camera I think is Vincent Hernandes.

Because it is a black and white photo, you are unable to see that the pans were painted red, white and black.
