Steelpan photo of the day. BWIA, the former national airline of Trinidad and Tobago once sported the steelpan instrument as its official trademark. Caribbean Airlines, BWIA's replacement does not use the pan as its logo.
You can see additional pictures of the planes here: http://www.panonthenet.com/articles/global/caribbean/tnt/airlinelogo.htmRead more…
Along with the name and picture changing, Invaders Steel Orchestra, which is sponsored by Caribbean Airlines, has to undergo the indignity of a weird purple-pink color scheme on its pans and in the panyard. Before, they had the nice turquoise color associated with BWIA.
Our Government really- really dont know what we have. Almighty God in all His Wisdom choose our beloved Country of Trinbago to give this wonderful gift. He send these enlightened souls like Ellie Mannette- Neville Jules- Anthony Williams- Bertie Marshal- Rudolph Charles and many others to bring joy and happiness to this world with this great invention, but our Government is blind to this. Almighty God our Father We the people of Trinbago Thank You for the Gift of the Pan.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that was an airline that had a country's pride riding on it. Did you know the Branding Agency was Media Magic Caribbean [local tt Co] led by Peta Bain not a"foreigner" as we always think is the best. The unused tag line was " There's music in the Air" ..so that was where pan had reached. Sky was the limit. Don't cry for me..............
